Bespoke Shipping Container Retail Unit Conversion

After operating in our small trailer, and our larger trailer, our business upgraded it's home once again, this time with real intent!

We commissioned a local company to supply and convert two 20ft shipping containers into a bespoke retail unit. This was entirely my design, and the first time I had worked with an external supplier for the fabrication.

The unit was to be positioned on the main plaza at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, a very prominent location, so a high finish and beautiful design were important.

We had so much space after working in trailers... a great stock room/rest area, a workshop side, long sales counters and full length sliding doors that gave us a lot of flexibility in setting up for different weather conditions.

As ever, our needs evolved: we redesigned and adapted the store to be a walk-in visit, rather than a serve-out kiosk. We even installed a fake fireplace to entice customers in!
